River Corridor Housing

Assisted elderly housing project on a riverbank, with a river nature park open to the public
Sited on a riverbank, used to be a duck farm, now an open field covered with wild plants, sloping down to the river.
Two types of facades on road and river sides integrate the building to the earth. Continuous mound lowers one story on the road side. “Green screen” covers the river side protecting the views from river, while providing roof deck for the residents merge to the river view. The method to integrate to the earth developed from an interlocked plan form to an integrated linear boundary.
